New Version of MAP2PDF for ArcGIS Ships

New Version of MAP2PDF for ArcGIS Ships

Enhanced Capabilities Let Users Create More Robust GeoPDF files to Share
across Enterprises

ATLANTA, GA - August 1, 2006 - TerraGo Technologies, creators of MAP2PDF
and GeoPDF announced today that MAP2PDF for ArcGIS version 3.0 is now
available, giving customers many more options and features for creating,
sharing and exchanging mapping data. Major enhancements include support
for multiple, transparent raster and vector layers, compatibility with
third party products such as DS Mapbook and PLTS, support for ArcGIS
Server, and Visual Basic access to MAP2PDF functionality. Users may now
create multiple GeoPDFs in batch mode with grouped layers exactly as
represented in ArcMAP.

Other Version 3.0 improvements include the saving of MAP2PDF settings with
the MXD, the placement of annotations as separate layers, map grid and map
surround support as separate layers and support of user-defined datums.

"With this new version we support the complete layering capabilities of
ArcGIS" says Michael Bufkin, TerraGo Technologies' chief technology
officer. "GeoPDFs created with Version 3.0 have the same look, feel and
behavior as that of the ArcMAP MXD."

"MAP2PDF integrates seamlessly into my typical workflow, is perfectly
intuitive to use, and extends powerful aspects of GIS functionality to even
the most lay users," says David Lewis, GIS Analyst, Southern Environmental
Law Center. "I am amazed by the software's ability to cram data-rich
layers with thousands of records into a PDF document with a small enough
file size that it can easily be emailed, all while maintaining high quality
graphical resolution and georeferencing. This product is essential for any
individual or organization that hopes to distribute GIS products over the
web or via email, to customers, clients, constituents, or colleagues."

All of the new features of Version 3.0 are integrated with the free GeoPDF
toolbar where users can access many mapping functions including display of
coordinates, measurement of distances and areas, markup, commenting, GPS
tracking and interaction with Google Maps, utilizing Adobe Acrobat or
Reader. Users also have the ability to export georegistered markups and
comments from the GeoPDF toolbar into GIS applications as .shp files, so
all their notes, graphics and annotations can be integrated back into the
master geospatial data.

"ESRI customers including major government agencies, large utilities and
other business users have already experienced the benefit of sharing
geospatial data across the enterprise so other users can work with
georegistered mapping information in connected or disconnected modes," says
James Davis, TerraGo Technologies CEO. "This latest release of MAP2PDF for
ArcGIS improves upon our successes, while giving our customers significant
new features that allow them to create even more valuable geospatial
assets."

All TerraGo products are available for a 30 day evaluation period where
users can produce complete GeoPDFs with no watermarks and distribute them
to anyone for evaluation and feedback.
